Steve has been CEO of St Clare Catholic Multi Academy Trust since January 2022. As the Trust’s first CEO, he has led St Clare CMAT through the joining of our first 13 schools and the establishment of our Executive and Shared Services team.
Steve was accepted as a member of the first cohort on the National Institute of Teaching CEO programme, which is designed to build networks, knowledge and inspiration to leaders of Trusts across the country.
Prior to becoming CEO, Steve was Head Teacher of Notre Dame Catholic High School in Sheffield, where he gained a wealth of experience leading a highly successful, oversubscribed secondary school with a strong track record of system leadership. With over 19 years in senior leadership and headship, Steve has experience leading on Catholic Ethos and Community, Curriculum & Pedagogy, Safeguarding and Inclusion, Timetabling, Effective use of data and Primary to Secondary Transition and has been part of system leadership collaboration across the region.
He is a member of St Francis parish in Sheffield, where he leads the music ministry.
