Our Early Years Network is an active network of early years teachers and leaders who work to develop and lead an action plan to address the changing needs of children on entry.
The work includes curriculum development and the development of parental engagement, aiming to:
We have a range of leadership networks, aimed at developing leaders at all levels.
At one end, developing the next generation of school senior leaders and headteachers who are both equipped and excited about the opportunity to lead our Catholic schools is a priority for us.
At the other, it is also important that we support those taking on leadership positions for the first time so that they can grow and develop in their new positions of leadership.
We deliver an 18 month Aspiring Leader programme aimed at existing senior leaders. This considers leading schools through the lenses of vision, leading the organisation and leading people, underpinned throughout by the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
Our Senior Leaders network provides an opportunity for leaders to network, collaborate on shared priorities, and to be developed around aspects of school leadership such as finance and human resources.
We also run a New to Subject Leadership Programme aimed at those colleagues within the primary phase who are taking up subject leadership for the first time.
Our DSLs meet half termly to work together on common issues, respond collectively to statutory guidance and to share practice.
A cycle of peer safeguarding reviews, drawing on specialist expertise from outside of the Trust is an important part of the work of this group of key colleagues.
This group involves SENDCOs and those leading teaching and learning in our schools.
Through network meetings and enquiry visits, this group aims to:
This group meets regularly to support the implementation of the Prayer and Liturgy Directory in our schools. This includes:
A key part of the work of this network is embedding of the Trust Writing Fundamentals assessment framework across our primary schools. This work is supported by Lead Professionals who work with schools and teachers.
Colleagues also meet to moderate work.
Our secondary schools undertake a programme of departmental reviews, that draw on expertise both from within and outside of the Trust.
This helps us achieve our aim of all children experiencing the best that the Trust has to offer, while at the same time learning from those outside of the organisation. These reviews provide an opportunity for curriculum leaders to develop relationships and work alongside those in similar roles elsewhere within the Trust.
One measure of our success as a Trust is the extent to which pupils are set up to progress purposefully to the next stage of their education, training or employment.
This is the outcome of an excellent education in our schools that includes high quality opportunities in relation to careers advice and guidance.
Our Careers Leaders meet regularly to share practice, work together on responding to statutory guidance and collaborate on shared challenges.
